-LET THE MIXING BEGIN - A 16 SONG ALBUM
- Jan 24, 2008 - By Daniel
I'm excited to announce that tonight is the first night of mixing for the upcoming album, Themes in American Friction. This process will take approximately 2 weeks and while its going on I'll also be finishing the illustrations and design for the album artwork and the orchestration for certain songs. I'm very excited to hear how Cory Plaugh will mix the parts I've been working on. We'll be putting one song up on the internet and on a few radio stations several weeks before the album comes out and I can't wait for you to hear it!
I'd also like to use this newsletter to announce that Themes in American Friction will consist of 16 full length songs. I didn't set out to write any particular number of songs for the album, I just kept writing until it felt like a complete narrative. I've never believed in quantity over quality and there are songs that didn't make the cut. However, I strongly believe that every song on the album was written and recorded with the same quality standards and for a specific purpose. Its taken a long time to shape the narrative through writing the songs and its taken a very long time to record all 16 but I can't wait for you to hear the results!
Thank you so much for your support!

- NEW ALBUM NEARING COMPLETION
- Oct 5, 2007 - By Daniel

I'm so excited to be able to write that the album is nearing completion. In the beginning of October, Cory Plaugh, the band and myself will begin an intensive two weeks of tracking sessions. We'll be working five days a week and when we wrap, all primary tracking for the entire album will
be complete.
At that point I'll be bringing the album to my mini home studio to add violins, organs, tamborines, backing vocals, extra guitars and the likes. Then we will mix and master.
I'm so excited! This album has been weighing heavily on me for a while and it will feel good to be able to work nonstop and get it done. For the folks who have asked about the album's progress and shown support and excitement for its release, thank you! Stay tuned for new Album Video Journals :)

- WE SIGN ENDORSEMENT DEAL - Sept 5, 2007 - By Daniel

A few weeks ago we were approached by up-and-coming string company Knucklehead Strings. They were kind enough to offer us a sponsorship, so we tried out the strings and we love them! Check out our first official sponsors here. You may love the strings too!

- GREETINGS FROM NEW YORK - Aug 22, 2007 -By Daniel

Ladies and gents, with Chicago, New York and Washington D.C. under our belts, the tour rolls on to Spartanburg SC. Before our next show though, here's a New York "post card" from us to you :)
The tour has been awesome so far and we'll be posting pictures, video and more details soon. See you in Spartanburg, Savannah and Athens!

- PICTURES FROM CHICAGO - July 25, 2007 - By Daniel

A slideshow gallery of photos from the Chicago leg of the Summer 07 Tour is now up in the gallery. Go to it directly by clicking here.
The show was great by the way and I met some great people. One new Chicago friend filmed my last song and says he will be posting it on YouTube. Another, told me she had listened to the lyrics of "The Kings of Misery" which is about my father. Though this person was new to me and my music, after the show she asked me about my father's condition; I told her that he is always in pain because of his rheumatoid arthritis but that his attitude is wonderful, and far better than the attitudes of so many with much less to complain about.
It was a great trip and it makes me all the more excited to take off on the rest of the tour in August. See you in New York!

- SUMMER TOUR 2007 - July 16, 2007 - By Daniel

Our last hometown show of the summer is over and it was wonderful! Thank you to everyone who came for making it a very special night!
I'll kick off our summer touring with my solo show in Chicago this weekend and I couldn't be more excited to get this thing started. If you want to see the details of the tour and check up on early bookings for fall, check out the shows page. Thank you again Columbia! We'll see you in a few months!

- TRUSTUS ROCK SHOW JULY 13 - July 2, 2007 - By Daniel

We had not planned to play again in Columbia until our east coast summer tour was over this September, but we we couldn't pass up a special invitation to headline a rock show at TRUSTUS Theatre on Friday, July 13.
The show will feature myself and the full Guitar Show Band, and will take place right after a performance of Hedwig & the Angry Inch. We'll be playing our usual rock set with a few acoustic solo songs mixed in. With Hedwig's amazing set design behind us, and the lights and magic of the theater around us, this should be a very atmospheric show.
Opening, will be the beautiful and talented Liesl Downey. She will be performing an acoustic set of original music that is both clever and enchanting.
I hope we'll see you at this very special show!

- DANIEL ON iTUNES - June 15, 2007 - By Daniel

Ladies and gentlemen, you can now purchase my music in uncompressed CD quality on iTunes and almost every other digital store you can think of!
What's really exciting for me is that in a few short months, I will be releasing a world-wide digital single on iTunes leading up to the release of my upcoming 4th album; 'Themes in American Friction'.
Here's some links to the digital stores now selling and previewing my current demos:
| Apple iTunes | Napster | BuyMusic | PayPlay | Ruckus |
(Keep in mind that previews of the songs will not be full quality)

- HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH - June 1, 2007 - By Daniel

Now that the big hometown summer show is over, the band and I won't be playing in Columbia for quite a while. Thank you so much to everyone who came to
the show!
In the meantime, Guitar Show Band guitarist Chris Harre and myself will be reprising our roles in the TRUSTUS Theatre production of Hedwig & the Angry Inch. We both loved doing the p lay for USC theater earlier this year and couldn't say no when we were told that TRUSTUS wanted to pick up our production professionally. Chad Henderson, who directed Cycle of their Fathers, is directing Hedwig & the Angry Inch
as well.
Other than Hedwig, my main focus will be working hard to get the new album finished. My producer/good friend Cory Plaugh is about to finish up his work on regional favorite Villanova's upcoming album, which will really give us time to take our work on the album to the next level.
Then there's New York and the summer tour. I don't know when we'll play in town again, it might be September! In the mean time, check out the new Album 4 Video Journal. Keep checking back because I'll be posting videos more frequently, leading up to a radio and iTunes release of the album's first single.

- THE BIG SUMMER SHOW - May 16, 2007 - By Daniel

May 29 is our big 2007 summer show in Columbia, SC at New Brookland Tavern. We'll be headlining the show, playing with our good friends and long-time supporters, Hello Tomorrow. The Fad and Eddie's Cookouts are Dangerous are playing as well. Its going to be a fun show!
In other news, the Art Garage Demos are now for sale at Manifest Discs and Tapes in Columbia, SC. You can also pick up a copy from our online store or from CDBaby.
I hope we'll see you at the show. We will be playing at least one more show in Columbia with the full band this summer, but this will be our last big headlining home town show before we leave for our micro tour and head up to Washington D.C., New York City and New Jersey. See you at the show!

- NEW RECORDING PHOTOS - April 13, 2007 - By Daniel

We've been pushing along with the album, finishing drums, bass, guitar and lead vocals for the first batch of songs with Cory Plaugh engineering and producing. I'm then taking the main parts that I recorded with Cory back to my home studio to add backing vocals, violins, and other textures and details that I didn't have enough time to do on the last album. I've put up pictures of some of the sessions in the gallery, please check them out and check back soon for more. I can't wait for you guys to hear the new album!

- NEW YORK ! - Mar 26, 2007 - By Daniel
Me and the guys are taking a trip to New York! We've been invited up by the NY indie label Kanine Records. They liked the Art Garage Demos and want to hear us play live. This is a very exciting proposal and we've been set up to play at Galagapos Art Space in Brooklyn NY with members of Kanine management attending the show. I suppose what we essentially have here is an audition, at the very least it will be an awesome trip!

- NEW SONGS IN THE JUKEBOX! / SHOW FRIDAY!
- Mar 19, 2007 - By Daniel
I recently got to do an on-air interview with Randy and Brent on 99.3 WXRY. They played two of tracks from the Art Garage Demos and let me perform THREE songs live. As of today you can hear all three songs on my Jukebox. One of them is the brand new song ‘The Kings of Misery’ which will be on the new album. In other news, I’m playing a show tonight, Friday, March 23 at Jammin' Java in downtown Columbia, SC. After that I’m disappearing into the studio for a while to work on the album. See you tonight!

- LOOKING FOR A DRUMMER - Mar 19, 2007

The Guitar Show Band is looking for a permanent drummer. We're hoping to find someone who thinks the following goals are perfect for them: Playing locally once a month, going on tour for two weeks at the end of summer 2007, playing various weekend warrior out of town shows, rehearsing one/two times a week depending on upcoming engagements. If you're interested in hearing more specific goals and more detailed incentives, please email us!

- QUIET ROCK SHOW ON MARCH 11 - Mar 2, 2007
- By Daniel
Hello everyone, we'll be playing a special show at New Brookland Tavern on March 11. For this show the Guitar Show Band and myself will be playing acoustic instruments. It will be a quieter "more intimate" version of our regular rock show. Not quite rock but not quite acoustic.
In other news, this week we blazed through the bass guitar recording sessions for the first batch of "Album 4" songs with Adam Corbett on bass and Cory Plaugh running the show. Next week I finally get to start recording guitar and then vocals.
I can't wait!

- ALBUM 4 VIDEO JOURNAL - Feb 23, 2007 - By Daniel
Cory Plaugh and I are getting down to some serious business with Album 4 and we'd like to share the experience with those who are interested. The 'Machumentary' episodes are on hiatus at the moment but we will be posting simple video journals showing work on the album as it progresses.
The first video is up now. You can see it right here on the home page, and on the newly created Album 4 Video Journal page under the video tab. In other album details; This monday Adam Corbett will be coming in to lay down bass guitar, for the first five tracks, after that I finally get to start recording guitar and vocals! I'm very excited to finally get this project rolling steadily along. Hope you enjoy the videos!
Keep checking back for new ones!

The demos will be packaged with with artwork and photos and will be on sale for $2 at Daniel's

- THE WINTER 07 TOUR IS OVER - Jan 9, 2007 - Author: Daniel
We're back from the tour. We had a great time and we're happy to have met so many great new people along the way. Many, many thanks to Jessica Labbe for managing the tour. She arranged every aspect of the tour even lending her own vehicle. This would not have been possible without her, thank you Jessica. Also of course thank you to Chris Harre and Chad Henderson for a fantastic job learning songs, traveling and performing.

- DANIEL MACHADO IS GUITAR SHOW
GUITAR SHOW IS DANIEL MACHADO - December 12, 2006 - 11:33am
Well, I've thought about it for a long time: changing the name of the band. In 2001, when I drew the name "Guitar Show" on a piece of paper, it seemed like a funny idea. But now, almost six years later, I'm playing with none of the friends I started the band with, so it feels like the perfect time to change.
The name Guitar Show has been a good friend for many years but I think it has also helped to hide me in the giant music world. For example, type Guitar Show into a Google search, it's pretty hard to find the band. So, for that reason and many others I feel that it's only right to continue ahead with my own name and leave the name Guitar Show as a reminder for myself of the hard work of my wonderful friends and former band mates:
Sierra Machado
David Porth
Kara Nelson
Eddie Lord
Michael McAneney
Adam Corbett
Bill Elliott
Regardless of what name I played under, I've always just wanted to write, record and perform music that I liked. So with a new album on the way and a new tour about to start, I'm happy that I'm still lucky enough to be able to do those things. For now I guess I'll be "Daniel Machado and the Guitar Show Band".
Thank you always!
Daniel

- THE RADIO WAS GREAT - February 05, 2006 - 9:51pm
The new demos have made their local radio debut. Thank you to the folks who tuned in today! Thanks also for your calls and instant messages while we were on the air. We hope you guys enjoyed the new songs. For anyone who missed the interview, the demos will be released on MySpace some time after February 10. We want to especially thank Cory Plaugh for his many hours of work and dedication mixing, mastering and co-recording the demos that aired today. Cory cares about Guitar Show's recordings as much as we do, which is a very rare thing. He's more than an engineer, he's a producer. Today's interview was of course only the beginning. We're all very excited to share our new music with you and look foward to the MySpace debut of the demos. Thanks again to Ben Jammin, Cory, and all of you for listening!
See you on the 10th!

- ART GARAGE DEMOS - January 18, 2006 - 10:12pm
Recorded by Jay Matheson of Jam Room Studio during a secret Guitar Show test performance, then enhanced in the studio of Cory Plaugh (Producer of Guitar Show's "Ghosts of Our Childhood") come Guitar Show's brand new demos. The demos will be played first on Sunday, February 5 at 5pm during an on-air interview conducted by the wonderful Ben Reynolds of 90.5 WUSC. Some time after the Return Show, a selection from the six demo tracks will be posted exclusively on MySpace. Of course Street Team members will hear the demos first, a bit earlier than the MySpace release :D We're very excited to be sharing our new material and the sound of the new band with you, stay tuned!

- THE OFFICIAL RETURN OF GUITAR SHOW - December 28, 2005 - 12:07pm
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10 at New Brookland Tavern
THE OFFICIAL RETURN OF GUITAR SHOW
Hi folks, Daniel here to announce THE OFFICIAL RETURN of Guitar Show! Adam, Bill and myself have been practicing for two months now and are just about ready to perform GS' first show with the new line up. The show will take place on FEB. 10 at NEW BROOKLAND TAVERN.
This show is very special because it also showcases the new material I've been writing since The Ghosts of Our Childhood. To be clear about what's going on, this new material was written for and always intended to be played and recorded by GS' former lineup. With mutual well wishes flowing between the current Guitar Show and its former members, I do however want to make my excitement for the new lineup clear. Bill and Adam kick ass. They rock and the have breathed wonderful life into the songs that will fill Guitar Show's upcoming album.
TAKE OFF WORK, TELL YOUR FRIENDS, FRIDAY NIGHT, FEB 10!

- GOODBYE SIERRA - Octover 16, 2005 - 10:44pm
By Daniel:
Wednesday, October 12 was the probably the last show that my sister Sierra and I will ever play on stage together. After
four years she has finally decided to do what shes thought about doing for
over a year and has begun concentrating completely on school and her true passions. Playing with Sierra over the years has been wonderful and continuing without her is going to be quite an adjustment. Most importantly though, its wonderful to see her doing exactly what she wants. Coincidently Guitar Show's latest drummer, Michael McAneney has decided to break from his position in the band for an indefinate amount of time to pursue a new project. As a result of the timing of this break Eddie and I are unsure about how to handle forming a new lineup. There is a posibility that Eddie will take this situation as an opportunity to pursue his own project and there is also a possibility that he and I will continue to play together with a new bassist and drummer.
What is certain is that I have half of Guitar Show's
next album written and simply cannot slow down. It is Sierra's most sincere parting wish to see the band she helped start alive and thriving. I have no desire to take a break or to stop writing, performing or recording music. I love the latest lineup of Guitar Show like a family and will sorely miss the specific personality, creativity and material they contributed to the band. The band however is my passion, it is my escape and it is my five year investment. Despite my lonely possition as it's sole original member I am excited for the future.

- SONG WRITING - August 28, 2005 - 4:26pm
By Daniel:
I found quite a kick ass message sent to us on myspace by Ben. Ben plays in a band called Division By Zero. Here's what he said:
"holy shit. this album really
is amazing. lyrics are really really good. i love the last four songs (of david my father), especially the part where you go back to the chorus of "to texas" in "cycle of their fathers." "guitar show" is prob my favorite. good to see a band put so much effort into their song writing rather than their image and *scene-status*. its refreshing. the website is also really fucking cool. i like how you made eddie look like a dragonball z character. haha. peace and love
dbz."
Well
Ben you couldnt give me a bigger compliment. As far as song writing is concerned, that is definately something that I put the majority of my energy into. Its nice to have someone notice it and mention it specifically. I'm glad you noticed the reprise of To Texas' chorus at the end of Cycle too, I've never had that really addressed by anyone who wasnt part of the project. Every tiny detail that I'm responsible for putting in the album was put there to be analyzed as part of a narrative and hopefully commented on. Thank you for doing that where I could see it. Glad you like the website too!

- GOOD LUCK KARA NELSON - July 11 2005, 2:24am
Kara Nelson, our original drummer and one of the band's founders is moving to Los Angeles

By Daniel:
Well Kara Nelson has been going to school at Full Sail in Orlando Florida for a year now studying film. She just graduated and now she is going to move to Los Angeles California. This is such an amazing step for her and I wanted to post this for anyone who knows her or listened to us in the begining. Kara has been an amazing friend to me and I wish her all the best in the world as she follows her dreams. I gotta say if she wouldnt have come into my life when I was 15 and gotten me obsessed with her collection of electric guitars I doubt I would even be in this band now. She has really had one hell of an impact on my life.
Good luck Kara!

- NEW WEBSITE - April
,30 2003 - 12:08am - Author: Daniel
Daniel here with a brand new
website for the summer...
Wow the last few weeks have been so busy its been unbelievable,
me and Will both have been swamped with school projects and
what not and the website has slowing been dying thanks to
a half completed update by myself that left the navagation
bar UNNAVIGABLE! great job me. So rather than just post a
new message apologizing for this lack of attention I decided
to build an entirely new website to gear up for the summer.
There will be some new things that I want to do soon that
will hopefully be some fun additions, like a virtual practice
room where you can play around with our instruments. As
far as the music goes, if you check out the info page and
look in the songs area you can find
some new song titles that I'm working on. Hopefully we'll
be playing them soon. Whats really getting me excited though
are our plans to record and release a series of EPs throughout
the summer, the first one to be recorded at the Jam Room within
the next month. There are also plans to take the band on the
road and play some venues in Georgia and North Carolina but
thats still up in the air. In the mean time thanks for coming
to the shows and giving us the support you always have, give
the new website a look and check out our new message
board in the "boards" section,
the guestbook is there too . Later everybodyyyy.

Hey
all, this is just an announcement stating that I, Will Floyd
have been living a lie. I have been gaining credit, and glory
from the work of another. Elizabeth Johnson, who has, for
so long, been doing the main portion of the real managarial
work for GuitarShow, is now getting what she deserves, the
true title of Manager, in the band GuitarShow. Never fear
(not that any of you would) I will still be here functioning
as I always have, but I now pledge allegiance to Elizabeth.
While I still will handle booking, photography, and all things
web related, she will be the true nerve center of all the
awesome stuff going on in the band. So if you need anyting
contact one of us, and we will do whatever we can to help. By
the way: the band has some freaking awesome things in store,
so keep an eye out here for any news.

so after the cd is ready for the masses). But be prepared, there
are great things to come, including stickers, and a new website!

- UPDATE ON THE SECOND ALBUM - December
10, 2002 - Author: Daniel
Well
Will has become the websites official webmaster as you can see.
He's doin a really good job on actually giving attention to
it. :)So now I just wanna take some time to talk about the new
cd comin out and all that. I remember when we made our first
cd, I listened to it and I thought, I wanna make a cd somebody
can go to sleep to. So with that in the back of my head the
songs that were written after guitarshow live started to formulate.
We practiced some and played some more shows and after a while
the songs that will be on the new cd presented themselves. The
turning point was when my extremely awesome uncle empowered
me with a computer holding enough memory to record these songs.
So the process began about three months ago. So now as December
is almost here, we are almost done. Its taking so long because
we're doing it one instrument at a time. Ahh it can be frustrating
but we're almost done. So soon we will have a cd for you that
wasnt recorded live 4 months after starting the band. It will
have new songs and will hopefully sound better too. :) And I
think you may be able to go to sleep to the new cd if you so
choose.
I really hope y'all like it. Well I'm gonna go to bed because
its kinda late, gnight everybody!
- WHATS ON THE GUITAR SHOW PLATE (CONT'D) - December
9, 2002 - Author Will
Well
now, I heard form Daniel today that the rest of the band may
not be able to make it to the New Brooklyn Show so we might
be seeing Dan do an acoustic show, BUT if you've ever heard
Dan play acoustic you know that it will be worth coming out
to see. So be there or be square. I still havent gotten any
pics, art or G.S. stories from all of you out there in www land
so send them in, and send them often to me.

- SOME POSTATIONAL NOTATIONALS - December
2, 2002 - Author: Will
Well,
sorry I haven't updated in a while I've been swamped with exams,
and term papers. Well, I guess I can tell you that Kara is now
playing guitar rather than drums, and the band has it narrowed
down to 2 drummers (who are both great). The cd should be done
within the next 10 days, and Daniel is already working out songs
for an EP to be released sometime in the spring. Ive heard the
guitar parts, lyrics, and ideas for the new songs, and they
are awesome. We are trying to work out a way to post some demos
on the site. They should be up as soon as Dan can get some recorded,
and I can get some...posted. If you have pictures of the band
at any concert e-mail them to us. Also, some stories would be cool. Art would
be great to. So would money. So would a PA. Cords. Anything
really...hmm....so anyway. Send some pictures and well give
your name a special home on our site.

- RECORDING A NEW ALBUM - September 29, 2002 - Author: Daniel
Right now I am typing this from my job at the USC art workshop.
Theres about an hour before I get to go home so thats good.
I do have some exciting news too, well its exciting to us anyways,
:) here goes, I got an amaing gift from my uncle for gradution,
a computer. So one day I decided to bring Kara's drum set in
my room and record it to see what it sounded like. So it works,
it actually sounds good. So a few days later Kara comes over
and we record drums for some of our songs, we like how it sounds
so we keep going. Well it ended up going so well that we've
decided that we're going to do an entire cd that way. 15 songs;
electric and accoustic, new and old. So thats pretty much what
we've been doing for the past week and half. We're really excited
about finishing and getting them out to you all and we're getting
pretty close. Well thats my story. I hope all of you are doing
well. Oh heres a list of songs to be on the cd. Please reuest
anything you dont see and would like to have on a cd. (guitarshowband@aol.com) Guitar

- 2ND PLACE IN SECOND BOTB -
July 15, 2002 - Author: Daniel
Well we got second in the battle of the bands which is great.
The whole night was fun and thanks to everybody who came out
and cheered. We got to meet some awesome musicians, the guys
from Population 39 were real nice as were the guys and girls
of Something About Vampires and Sluts and Tykes with Guns We
didnt really get to talk to the other bands very much but everybody
was good. Wow and thank you Matt Geib for being an awesome guitar
tech. And Patrick Merritt, thanks for bein an awesome roadie.
On a side note, its hilarious the bad reactions we're getting
now too. Heres some stuff from SCbands.com:
"something
about vampires & sluts won tonight...but guitar show as the
runner up????????????how did that happen?? Guitar
show f***ing sucks ass! little f***in kids that don't know but
only 5 chords and have to make up some bull**** rap song to
make people laugh...what a crock of ****".
Ohhhhh that last ones my favorite, haha and since my little
nephew comes on this site I edited that, ha, we didnt even play
the rap song this show, they must have been at the other battle
of the bands. Wow some people just dont get it. Well thanks
Senate Park for having the BOTB and so much thanks to Marty
of the Jam Room for setting it up, and thanks to the sponsors.
Most importantly thanks to all the people who came for us, and
cheered for us and made it worthwhile like yall always do thank
you, its all for you.
- ANOTHER BATTLE OF THE BANDS - July 8, 2002 - Author: Daniel
There has been some major changes to the media page, so if you
get a chance check it out. In Battle of the Band news, The night
we have been asigned (7/13) is a 18+ night. We have been given
the option of moving over to sunday (7/14) so we are not sure
what to do. It is extremely important to us that everyone who
wants to come can so we are tryin to fix things with out causing
contraversy. Well more soon as of now the date still sticks
with a 18+ added on to it. We are going to figure this out though
dont worry. More soon! please email us with comments! By the
way, yalls website support has been amazing, apparently 170
people were on the site yesterday. 170 people in one day, wow,
As a matter-a-fact, our server temporarily shut us down today
because too many people came to the site this month, haha wow
you folks rock. Oh yea check out the new poll, it has all the
songs.

Well Mangos went very well, we were very fortunate to pick up

the show, you make it fun. It was also very nice playing for
a charity event. Congratulations to Exit 101 for winning first
and an big hand to all the other bands who played. We got to
meet the members of Job's Limit who were all very nice and put
on a great show. The whole night was alot of fun. And whoever
the guy in the red shirt from one of the other bands was, you
flipping me off while we were playin "doin the dishes" gave
me lots of laughs. I'm gonna find out what band your in too.
The pictures of the show up above were taken by our freakin
awesome manager Lauren Garner. And in closing, here is some
awesome "fan art" sent in by Britany.

- DOIN THE DISHES ON SCHOOL TV SHOW - February 6, 2002 - Author: Sierra
TRICKTRICK TRICKY! Hey guys isn?t it great seeing all these
nice pictures? Yes, I agree! We all know Daniel takes after
his sister in being shifty and sheisty and downright tricky!
So click on some of these new images and you might find yourself
being taken to a hidden page. Nice! Well, it?s very great to
have Kara back! A lot of you might not know much about Kara
because she?s all grown up and graduated, so she?s not around
as much as me Daniel or David. All I can say is how random she
is because I called her cell phone awhile ago and I asked her
what she was doing and she said ?Waiting for the penguins to
get fed!? Wow,I wish I were at the zoo right now. WELCOME BACK
KARA! Hurray! Recently ?Doin the Dishes? was played on our school?s
news program (that makes me laugh) and we?d like to thank the
eldest Matthews sister for that! Thaaaaaaanks. I?m going to
go eat a cupcake now but thanks everyone for everthing! Ta-ta?.SIERRRRRAAAA!
- KARA'S BACK HOME - January 30, 2002 - Author: Daniel
Karas back! and we have been working hard to get everything
back together and work on new songs too. Personally I have mostly
been concentrating on 3 things. One is writing a new song, two
is trying to grow a beard, and three is school work. Other than
that I went Ice skating recently which was alot of fun, David
came too and he agrees that ice skating is alot of fun. As far
as shows go, we hope to play at a few local venues, if you will,
around town very soon. Some of these shows might lean towards
the accoustic side. More info soon :) Some other band news concerns
Weezer. From what I understand a new Weezer album is almost
finished and will be released very soon. Its called Maladroit
and Im pretty stoked about it ok anyways.. Rock'n'Roll forever.
- NEW SONGS - January 15, 2002 - Author: Daniel
With school back in session and our drummer Kara out of town
We are left with less practice time and more homework, so Dave
and I have been using this time as a chance to write new songs.
As far as our next show, there has been talk of us playing at
some local venues, that would be great, I'll tell more about
that one when I can. And one last thing, if you click on the
picture above youll find some more lyrics. Also thanks againeverybody
for buying cds!, if you right click the bottom picture of me
and Dave and click "save target", you will download a sound
clip of "doin the dishes" check it out.
- HAPPY NEW YEAR - January 3, 2002 - Author: Daniel
Its New Years, wow we played a fun show new years eve with a
guest drummer, thanks again Mike. And for the past 2 days we've
all been playing in the snow, building igloos and waterskiing
behind 4-wheelers, its been really great. As far as the website
goes, if you click on the picture of the tree on a hill above
you will find song lyrics. There are lyrics to be found if you
click on the prom picture from the last update as well. Thanks
again for letting us play on your deck Kirk! Happy Holidays
everybody, see yall later.

- MESSAGE FROM SIERRA -December 26, 2001 - Author: Sierra
Hey Everyone! This is Sierra. Thank you everyone who wished me
a happy birthday. It was very happy. We are on kind of a vacation
right now. We have been laying low doing holiday things with
our family. Our drummer, KARA! Is going on an extended vacation
to Ohio for several weeks during the first of the new year.
Daniel has been a busy bee or beaver, as some might say, writing
new songs. They are very exciting?or maybe that?s just me. I
want to wish all our friends and family Merry Christmas! Also,
a token of gratitude to my dear friend and brothers not girlfriend,
but friends who like each other more than friends, Meredith
for being so fashionable in my prescence and for teaching me
everything I know about being a shifty thrift-store Chester.
Yes, I'm Chester.

information and pictures we couldnt fit onto the CD.
- GUITAR SHOW LIVE - November 17, 2001 - Author: Daniel
We recorded a CD! It is a 12 song live recording of a concert
we did this week. We're going to be selling them very soon with
packaging and cover art and everything. So far the price seems
to be set on $10, I wish they could be cheaper but we're trying
to do it right and get them made with quality, which is kinda
expensive. What we're going to have to do with the first 50
CDs is take preorders and then the rest we will sell however
we can. For more information on ordering look at the media page.
We're really excited about all this and I'll tell you more when
I can. There are also new pictures up in the pictures area of
the media page.
- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR MANAGER LAUREN - November 1, 2001 - Author: Daniel
Well pictures from the benefit show are up in the pictures

try to make it out to a show.
- BACK TO SCHOOL - August 8, 2001 - Author: Daniel
With 1 day before school starts, we've met our goal of being
able to do shows. We've only been doin this for 2 months,
(the length of time Karas been playing drums, and David the
guitar) and it feels great for things to be going well with
us being so new to it. Pictures are coming soon of our 3 summer
shows and I wanna have a section for each show with band comments,
pictures and whatnot soon. But anyways thanks so much for
all of your support. After our last show we're $105 closer
to a PA. The reactions we're getting mean so much. With a
break from shows and whatnot Dave and I are spending time
writing. Daves got a great song in the works and I hope to
polish up some new stuff too.
- OUR FIRST TWO SHOWS - July 27, 2001 - Author: Daniel
Well the week of our first two shows is over. It has been
very cool but very tiring. Our first show was indoors and
had a very controlled atmosphere. Our second show was outdoors
and was really hot. Our set was so disorganized but we had
fun. It is very cool having songs be recognized, like the
one Tara likes so much.
